How to choose your ideal size
Preparation for the measurement
The best moment
Measure your feet in the late afternoon, as they tend to swell as the day goes on.
Actual weight
It's essential that the child is standing upright and distributing their weight evenly. The foot expands under load, and only then will you get an accurate measurement; never measure feet while at rest or while seated.
Wall technique
Place a sheet of paper against the wall and position your foot on top so that your heel touches the wall.
Draw and measure accurately
The stroke: Use a slightly tilted pen to draw the outline from the heel to the toes. Keep the stroke as straight as possible.
Measure both feet: Almost everyone has one foot slightly larger than the other. Note the measurements of both and always use the larger foot as a reference.
How do I measure the width?
The metatarsal line: Once you have the outline drawn, identify the widest part of the silhouette (the area where the toes originate).
The measurement: Draw a straight line connecting the two most prominent points of the metatarsals and measure its length. This measurement is vital to ensure that the shoe last does not compress the toes laterally.
When is the right time to change sizes?
Minimum limit: There must always be a free space of at least 0.4 cm to 0.5 cm between the finger and the toe. If it is less, it needs to be changed.
Growth: Feet can grow between 2 and 3 sizes per year; we advise measuring them every 20 or 30 days.
Extra tips
Not walking yet: If the baby isn't walking, there's no need to put shoes on them. Use non-slip socks or sock-like footwear only to protect them from the cold.
Consult the specific guide: Always check the description or photos of each model, as measurements may vary between brands.
